For the woman at war with her body

who is ready to live peacefully in her own skin.

You’ve been fighting this war a long time, maybe your whole life. You’ve restricted until you’re miserable, exercised to the point of pain, and called it weakness when you couldn’t keep it up. You’ve started over on a hundred Mondays, then gone to bed on Sunday beating yourself up for weekend failures. You’d win for a while, but then life got harder, people treated you differently, or the old comfort called you back. Each time the weight returned, and the shame came with it.

Here is what I want you to know first: I will never judge you. We live in a world where judging a woman’s body is one of the last acceptable prejudices, and you have likely felt that judgment everywhere – in doctors’ offices, in the faces of people you pass on the street, in the eyes of people who love you. Judgment has no place here.

Second: you are not your weight. “I’m fat” is not an identity. It’s a thing your body is carrying, and often it’s carrying it for a reason. My job is to see you – the whole, capable woman you are inside and out – and to help you see her too.

I don’t have a secret. Nobody does, and anyone selling you one is selling you your next failure. What I have instead is my own experience of losing 200 pounds (after many failed attempts), maintaining the loss for years, and the wisdom that came from finding my own way through. I share my story not so you can do what I did, but so you can find your way, the one that actually fits your body, your life, and your capacity right now.

The war was never really about the food. The weight almost always represents something: old wounds, old protections, a self you stopped listening to a long time ago. That’s where my trauma-informed training and my Learn Yourself, Know Yourself, Be Yourself approach come in.

What is the weight holding you back from, and what is it holding for you? What does your body actually need? We’ll also learn what’s happening physically. If you have been living in a larger body, your hunger signals and hormones have changed. That constant hunger is not weakness or a lack of willpower. It’s biology, and understanding it changes everything.

Who are you beyond the number on the scale, without the judgment and the external expectations? What do you really want to change? Is it really the weight, or something the weight has been standing in for?

This is where we build a life that fits the real you: small, sustainable habits, one at a time. We’ll find your stretch – the level of discomfort you can actually sustain, because misery never lasts and never works. We’ll navigate what nobody warns you about: how relationships shift when your body changes, how scary that can be, and how to keep from retreating back to the old comfort.

I did. Even with support, losing the weight was one of the loneliest things I’ve ever done. Nobody was walking beside me who had been there, who could see the road ahead and help me prepare for it. That is the coach I became so you don’t have to do it that way.

And when you stumble – because you will, because every human does – we won’t call it cheating or failure. We’ll use the practice that carried me through: forgive yourself, learn the lesson, and do better.

You can do hard things. You don’t have to do them at war with yourself.
